All our associates are selected as communication skills trainers and facilitators because they have shown a gift in bringing out the best in people, enabling them to achieve outstanding results.

They come from a wide range of backgrounds, with ideas and activities drawn from many disciplines, so there’s always new stuff going on in our courses - from drama, accelerated learning, NLP, psychology, Alexander Technique, counselling, teaching, improvised comedy, sports and more.

Paul Z Jackson

Paul is a consultant, trainer and author. After ten years experience as a journalist with the Thomson Organisation, he worked as a freelance contributor to national magazines and newspapers.

His passion for comedy led to script-writing commissions and a post as senior producer with BBC Radio Light Entertainment. Working as a script-editor and producer, he introduced dozens of writers to their first professional contracts.

A flair for improvisation saw him making programmes with Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence, Steve Coogan, Caroline Aherne and Jeremy Hardy (to name-drop just a few).

In addition to his extensive corporate work, he has taught and lectured at the London Actors Centre, Ashridge and Bath Spa University College . A graduate of Oxford University , he lives in St Albans, near London .

He founded Paul Jackson Associates in 1996. Clients have included Hewlett-Packard, Glaxo, Future Publishing, Procter & Gamble, Aon, Bristol City Council, Greenpeace, Oxfam, Nationwide, Lloyds TSB, Ashridge.  

Paul is a member of AMED, SEAL, IAL, EBTA, and a Fellow of the RSA.  Co-founder of the international improvisation network (AIN) and the annual solutions focus conference (SOL), he has given keynotes and presentations at many events worldwide, including International Alliance for Learning, AIN, Junior Chamber International, SOL, International Coaching Federation and European Coaching and Mentoring.

Mark McKergow

Mark is an international consultant specialising in accelerated learning and management development.

He started his career in the electricity industry as a nuclear physicist. He has trained at BFTC Milwaukee and MRI Palo Alto, writes on systemic thinking and NLP, has a PhD in physics and plays jazz saxophone.

Janine Waldman

With extensive experience in the human resources field, Janine has led organisational development programmes in the UK and overseas in retail, public sector, manufacturing, healthcare and service industries.

As a leadership coach, Janine supports professionals to transform the daily challenges of business life into a balanced life of personal and professional significance.

She has a passion for the outdoors and is an avid rock climber.

Emma Brown

Emma is an actor/facilitator and a specialist consultant in behavioural and communication skills. Her background in acting, Alexander Technique, voice training and personal development has enabled her to devise and deliver training solutions that put the person at the centre of organisational change and development.

Gillie Stoneham

Gillie is an actor/facilitator with specialist skills in human communication. She specialises in training courses for health professionals and corporate clients. Her background in both theatre and as a lecturer in voice and human communication has resulted in a wealth of experience in using improvisation and role-play in the development of interpersonal skills.

She is a founder member of The Whodunnit Company, one of the country’s leading providers of murder mystery events, using improvisational theatre. With an MSc in Human Communication, she has contributed to scholarly publications within the field of language and social interaction. She lives in Exeter with her partner and two daughters.

Vaughn Malcolm

Since graduating from Oxford University with Joint Honours in French and German, Vaughn has been a teacher and training consultant, in both public and private sectors.

He delivers Business Language courses to clients including Lucent Technologies, British Aerospace and Rolls Royce; he has worked extensively in Germany with the Dresdner Bank, contributing to their Advanced English Presentation and Negotiating Skills programme.

Vaughn is married and lives in Chippenham, Wiltshire, with his wife and two children.

Michael Brown

Michael is a personal and professional development consultant, who has worked with the BBC, Somerfield, Gemini, Zeneca and P&O. He brings experience as a housing officer, social worker and teacher of the Alexander Technique to his facilitation of our Presentation Skills, Leadership programme and Rehearsals for Success.

David Conroy

David is an executive coach, trainer and consultant. He was previously CEO of CHANCE UK, a innovative Home Office research programme based in London, Business Development Director of One Parent Families and Business Process Director of Business in the Community (West Midlands).

David has a BSc (Hons) in Sociology and Social Psychology, a Diploma and Masters Degree in Social Work, and is a member of the International Coach Federation. His main interests are in coaching, strategic and operational planning and performance management, particularly within charities and new economy companies, solutions focused training, and harmless fun.

David Charles

David is an actor who has worked on stage, television, radio, impro-comedy and in many voice-overs.

He has worked with Paul Jackson since their days together on a radio sketch show in 1986, since when he has worked with Paul for Radio 4, up and down the country with ground-breaking Impro groups, and more recently as a facilitator and actor in Advanced Presentation Skills and Rehearsals for Success.
